James Schiavone

James Schiavone is a native New Yorker who has served in the NYC public schools, the Miami-Dade County public schools, the Monroe County (FL) schools, and is professor emeritus of Developmental Skills at CUNY. He has authored numerous articles and papers in newspapers and professional journals, as well as non-fiction trade books, and is an internationally acclaimed specialist in the psychology of reading. He operates the highly successful Schiavone Literary Agency, Inc., with corporate offices in West Palm Beach, and branches in NYC. His literary agency is highly selective but is open to email queries from debut authors, as well as from established writers. His seminal classic book, "Help Your Child to Read Better," and his career memoir , "God From Afar: Memoirs of a University Professor" remain in print and are available as ebooks at bargain prices.
