Janet Mitsui Brown

Janet Mitsui Brown was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, a “sansei,” a third generation Japanese American. A graduate of UCLA, majoring in painting/drawing, Janet was an Administrator at East West Players, a renowned Asian American theatre group, where she met husband actor Roger Aaron Brown. Her first book, “Thanksgiving At Obaachans” was published in 1994, and continues in popularity to this day. The book is intended to be part of an “Obaachan” trilogy. “Oshogatsu With Obaachan,” and “Obon For Obaachan” will complete the series, available in the near future. The trilogy is a special series spanning generations, culture and personal memoirs with universal appeal to everyone.

Janet is also a Feng Shui Practitioner and writer. She has recently teamed with feng shui writers in Canada and the United States to write a series of books relating to feng shui and healing. The first book is entitled "The Happiness Chronicles: Short Stories & Recipes For A Happy Life." The ensuing books are "Journey to Health" and "Book of Harmony."
