Sharon Irish

After getting a doctorate in art history from Northwestern University near Chicago, Sharon Irish wound her way through various adjunct teaching jobs and eventually ended up coordinating grants for the Center for Digital Inclusion at the University of Illinois. Between 2013 to 2018, she was active with the FemTechNet collective, a network of scholars, artists, and students working on, with, and at the borders of technology, science, and feminism. Now retired, she continues to think and write about systems, cities, and art, especially as they intersect with injustice and alternative futures.
