I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. I was educated in the public schools and studied woodworking at Emerson Vocational High School where I graduated as class valedictorian. I also studied theology at Buffalo Bible Institute and graduated from Chicago School of Interior Decoration and Design. In addition, I studied Construction Technology at Erie Community College.
My working career was with a number of manufacturing companies, one of which was the world famous Kittinger Furniture Company where I was employed for nearly 16 years. Other life long occupational goals were achieved as a licensed real estate agent and as a school bus driver. As a self-published author I am very honored to have this "life's work" endeavor.
In 1961 I went to the Thousand Islands. I was deeply impressed with the beauty of the area and was intrigued by the story of Boldt Castle on Heart Island in the St. Lawrence River. Having returned many times to the region, it wasn't until August 1977 that I began researching the life and times of George C. Boldt who lived from April 25, 1851 to December 5, 1916. With God's grace and mercy, I'll be working on this project the rest of my life!
Many of my pictures, maps, and illustrations are available for public display. There are over 1,000 pictures, drawings, maps, and blueprints in my collection. Over 80 notebooks contain thousands of pages of articles from books, newspapers, magazines, and other sources. This is by far not all that is available on the life of George C. Boldt and the day and age in which he lived. Much more can and will be shared as time permits.
