Sal Destefano

Sal DeStefano is a novelist, attorney, and entrepreneur who brings historical depth and cinematic pace to his storytelling. A native New Yorker now living at the Jersey Shore, he spent over two decades running a successful title insurance agency while quietly crafting high-stakes thrillers.

His latest novel, A Reason to Die, weaves geopolitics and action into a pulse-pounding journey through Kashmir. The book has earned praise from readers and caught the attention of Hollywood - Sony Pictures Television optioned it for screen development. Currently, A Reason to Die is being promoted for screen adaptation in India by literary agent Amit Garg (Book2Screen).

Sal's earlier work, The Methuselah Gene, was a summer reading pick by The Star-Ledger. When he's not writing, Sal enjoys cruising the coast on his Piaggio scooter, deep dives into geopolitics, trading equities and options, and entertaining his grandchildren with wild tales of adventure.
