Larry Ruddell

Dr. Ruddell grew up in Charlotte , North Carolina and graduated from Davidson College near Charlotte with a degree in Psychology. He then attended Ohio State University where he received his Masters in Counseling. After working for two years with the Dean of Students Office and as an Instructor at Sterling College in Kansas he completed his Seminary Degree at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia with an emphasis on counseling.

After moving to Houston, Dr. Ruddell was commissioned as a Chaplain in the United States Navy. He served three years of active duty with the Second Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, traveling to Norway, Okinawa, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. He then returned to Houston and completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Houston with an emphasis on computer systems.

Dr. Ruddell has worked for over 12 years in the Houston area as a computer consultant in a number of different capacities including training, process analysis, database design and development, systems management, project management, and business development. He has worked for Nomos Systems, Inc. (as a founding partner), Quad S Consultants, Enron (with TCHD and OSI) and on a NASA contract with Booz, Allen & Hamilton.

He has written the book: Business Ethics - Faith That Works, now published by BridgeWay Publishing LLC in March, 2004 and continues to be an advocate for global business ethics through his non-profit: The Global Institute for Ethical Leadership. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Business with Belhaven University (Houston).

Dr. Ruddell has interests in people development, business ethics, international business, improving organizations through the effective use of systems, excellent teaching, and integrating business and faith. He enjoys sports, travel, music and spending time with his wife Aylin, daughter Anna and son Pres.
