Shea Darian, M.Div. is an award-winning author, family educator, grief expert, and spiritual care provider. Shea's newest book, Doing Grief in Real Life: A Soulful Guide to Navigate Loss, Death & Change (2022) – a Nautilus and IPPY Book Awards winner – presents a new approach to ease and heal the grief of a lifetime. She is Director of Doing Grief, a 501(C)3 that empowers grievers to become their own best healers and grief experts and Director of Doing Grief Community Healing Project with three onsite locations in the Phoenix metro area in Sun City, Tempe, and central Phoenix. Shea is the creator of the Model of Adaptive Grieving Dynamics, published in the journal Illness, Crisis & Loss, Vol. 22 (3), 2014. Her other books include Living Passages for the Whole Family (Nautilus Book Award), Sanctuaries of Childhood: Nurturing a Child's Spiritual Life (Foreword Book of the Year Award) and the Waldorf-inspired education parenting classic, Seven Times the Sun: Guiding Your Child Through the Rhythms of the Day. Shea lives with her spouse, Andrew, in Phoenix, AZ.
