Judy Egett Laufer

J.E. Laufer was born in Budapest, Hungary and moved to Canada with her family when she was just 2. She grew up in Montreal, Canada and started school with English as her second language. She is still fluent in Hungarian and converses regularly with her mom. Judy has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. She has a degree in early childhood development and was a certified teacher. She has teaching and curriculum development experience from both Canada and the United States.

Her titles include"WERE DID PAPA GO", "Last Night I Had a Laughmare" and "What's YOUR Birthday Wish?"

A few years ago she decided it was time to explore the YA readers, her first book won the silver medal award in 2018. "Choices -The True Story of One Family's Daring Escape to Freedom"

This historical novel is the author's account of her family's escape from Hungary in 1956, during the Hungarian Revolution. Many great reviews already posted on Amazon.

Hidden Pearl has just been released as another YA book about a young Jewish girl and her family during the Holocaust.
