Jo Massey

I write fiction, poetry, essays, travel and nature pieces, pulling from experiences gained through extensive travel and from living in many different states, including 14 years in Alaska. Several of my works of poetry, short stories and essays have been published in literary magazines and anthologies.

My company, Write-N-Speakeasy concentrates on assisting others in their writing and speaking. I am a copy editor, proofreader and writing instructor.

I have worked with numerous other writers, and been successful in seeing most of these works published. For example, I compiled (posthumously) The Nina-B: 15,000 Miles Into the Wind," written by F. Marshall Boker and published by Pronghorn Press.

Of particular importance are two novels (Angels in Vietnam and Not Welcome Home) written by Dr. John Wesley Fisher, a Vietnam veteran. Dr. Fisher's non-fiction book, "The War After The War" was released 11/11/11.

Ken Johnston's Legendary Truths: Peter Lassen and His Gold Rush Trail in Fact & Fable, a history of Peter Lassen--one of the California trailblazers, was published by Pronghorn Press in September 2012.

I am a certified master trainer, teaching writing skills in seminars, at the local community college, and one-on-one for aspiring writers.
