Robert DiNapoli has lectured on English-language poetry of all periods at universities in North America, England and Australia. His lecturing and writing have focused primarily on Old and Middle English poetry, and he has published articles, essays and poetry in a number of journals, including English Studies, Neophilologus, PN Review and Arena Magazine. He now works as a freelance writer and lecturer and is the founder and principal tutor of The Melbourne Literature Seminars .
His books include, A Far Light: A Reading of Beowulf (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2016) and Engelboc, a collection of poems (Littlefox Press, 2019), and Reading Old English Wisdom (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2021). A further volume of his poems, The Gnostic Hotel, is due to be published by Littlefox Press later in 2021.
His primary interests comprise the history of language and ideas, the evolution of spiritual sensibilities and poetics.
