John Simons

John Simons was born in May 1938 in Carshalton. Shortly after his birth the Simons family moved back to their roots in St Johns Wood, London. The reader can relive much of John's teenage years through Tommy's experiences and antics.

Educated at Barrow Hill Road Primary School and Quinton Polytechnic, Regent St, John did his National Service in the Army (KRRC) He spent most of his working life in London Advertising Agencies.

Football is his passion: he played for Merton FC for twenty-two years, and has been an Arsenal supporter since the age of eleven.

John and his wife Gwen are now retired and live in the lovely Welsh countryside near the Brecon Beacons.
