Her latest book, Sewing Hope (Dust Jacket Press, 2013), is a biography of Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe, a Ugandan nun who educates and nurtures young women formerly abducted by terrorist Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army. Nancy's first book, Able! How One Company's Extraordinary Workforce Changed the Way We Look at Disability Today (BenBella Books, 2008) tells the story of a factory owner whose practice of hiring employees with physical and mental disabilities catapulted his rug manufacturing company to international success. Nancy has published hundreds of articles in Parade, The New York Times, Smithsonian and other periodicals. She is a member of the prestigious American Society of Journalists and Authors and lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
