He is especially passionate about projects that help families read, listen, and learn together, blending story, sound design, and original music to make reading an immersive experience.
A Vietnam veteran, Joe also writes from a deeply personal well of experience. His forthcoming memoir, Vietnam Erased, explores his tour of duty in 1968–69 and the haunting mystery of missing memories, secret experiments, and the long road home. Across children’s books, audio productions, and memoir, Joe’s work is united by a single aim: to tell honest, engaging stories that entertain, encourage, and leave readers with something that lingers long after the final page.
