Dr. John Farrenkopf is Professor Emeritus of Government and International Affairs at Wofford College and the leading expert in the English-speaking world on the ideas of Oswald Spengler. A recipient of two Fulbright and two Thyssen fellowships and a scholarship from the Germanistic Society of America, he spent four years researching Spengler’s philosophy and related topics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. He has authored numerous journal articles and essays on Spengler’s multifaceted philosophy and co-edited with Professor Alexander Demandt a volume entitled, “Der Fall Spengler: Eine kritische Bilanz” (Boehlau Verlag, 1994).
