Simon Houlding

Simon Houlding is an engineer, entrepreneur and author who started life in Africa and subsequently settled in Canada. His engineering training coincided with the introduction of computers in the 1960’s and he became fascinated with the application and integration of computers in engineering, to the extent that this exerted a strong influence on his career, particularly in the fields of mineral resource estimation and online education and training. Now retired, he spends his time writing, travelling between Africa and Canada, and keeping up with a large contingent of grandchildren. He lives in Vancouver with his wife Frances.
