Alexander Kupfer, born in Bonn in 1960, studied English, American, and German literatures at various universities in Germany and the UK. After his PhD, he published various non-fiction books in the fields of literature, art, and cultural history. His short story "The Stone" won 1st prize in the 2018 Earlyworks Press Short Story Competition. Along with 25 stories by other writers, it is available in the anthology "Unsafe Spaces" (2019). Besides writing fiction and non-fiction, he is also active as an artist and cartoonist. His works were recipients of the international "iJungle Illustration Awards" (2021, 2022).
