Birgit Constant

Birgit Constant writes multilingual historical fiction set in medieval England and France and is particularly interested in hidden histories of lesser-known people and places.

She has a PhD in medieval studies, has learned eleven languages and worked her way through translation, IT and Public Relations internationally before ending up in the world of books.

Birgit Constant’s works include the Northumbria Trilogy, a fictional biography about Marie de France, the first French writer, as well as a short-story collection about twelve of the worst medieval jobs in twelve popular modern genres.
