Robert Burden

Dr Robert Burden, who did his MA and PhD at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in the 1970s, retired in 2010 as Reader in English Studies at Teesside University, UK. He resides in southern Germany.

He has published the following books:

Travel, Modernism and Modernity (2015)

Landscape and Englishness edited with Stephan Kohl (2006) - volume 1 of the Spatial Practices series, of which Robert Burden is the founding editor.

Robert Burden has recently researched into his maternal family history, which took him back to his Armenian ancestry and the various Diaspora stories since the emigration from their Anatolian homeland. The product of this research is a novel:
