Alejandro Polanco Masa

Alejandro Polanco Masa is a science populariser and author of several books on the history of science and medicine, including Herejes de la ciencia (2003), Crononautas (2011), Made in Spain (2014), Aviones bizarros (2016), Minimal Geography (2019) and Pandemic Atlas (2021). Since 2005 he has been editor of the blogs Tecnología Obsoleta and La Cartoteca, and since 2007 of the Made in Spain section of the journals Historia de Iberia Vieja and Historia de España y el Mundo. He has also published a science fiction novel, El viaje de Argos (2012), and is a regular contributor to the magazine Muy Interesante, as well as a populariser on radio (Onda Cero, Radio Nacional de España) and television. He won the 20Blogs Award in 2005 and the Buscando el Norte Digital Award in 2010. He was a finalist in the Bitácoras Awards in 2011. He is co-founder and CTO of Arbotante SL (UVa Science Park) and content manager of the science outreach network Naukas.
