Caterina Davinio
Caterina Davino (Born in Foggia, Italy, 1957): after graduating in Italian Literature, she has worked in the field of new media art and poetry, with exhibitions, meetings and festivals, as an author and as a curator, in Europe, Asia, the Americas, Australia, including seven editions of the Venice Biennale and collateral events, the Biennials of Sydney, Lyon, Athens, Merida, Hong Kong and many others.
She is one of the pioneers of digital poetry and the founder of Net-poetry in Italy.
Among her publications are the novels: Color Color (1998, Finalist in Feronia Prize), Il sofŕ sui binari (The Sofa on the Rails, 2013), Sensibělia (Senses-Mirabilia, 2015), Il nulla ha gli occhi azzurri (The Nothing Has Blue Eyes, 2017); non-fiction: Techno-Poetry d Virtual Realities (2002) and Virtual Mercury House (about electronic poetry, 2011); and the award-winning books of poetry: Serial Phenomenologies (2010), Il libro dell'oppio (The Book of Opium, finalist at Camaiore Prize, 2012), Waiting for the End of the World (Astrolabio Special Prize, 2012), Fatti deprecabili (Tredici Prize, 2014, and special metion in the Mario Luzi International Prize, 2015), Aliens on Safari (2016), and Rumors & Motors (2016, digital poetry).
She partecipated in international poetry festivals such as: VeneziaPoesia, Oslopoesi, International Poetry Festival of Medellin (2001 and 2017), E-Poetry (Barcelona and Buffalo, NY), Polyphonix (Barcelona and Paris), RomaPoesia, and many others.
