Nan Li

Dr. Li is professor, researcher, and writer. She is the author of 28 publications that include books, book chapters and journal articles along with other publications related to teacher education and student success. Dr. Li has presented at over 70 conferences that include those sponsored by American Educational Research Association (AERA), Association for Teacher Educators (ATE) along with others (e.g., NAME, AACE). She has received multiple competitive grant awards ($3.2 million) from the federal and state governments for professional training of pre-service and in-service teachers to prepare them for working effectively with today's diverse learners including ELLs. Dr. Li served as President of the South Carolina Association for Teacher Educators (2018) that gives her an opportunity working with the teacher educators across South Carolina. This experience results in her most recent book: A Research Perspective. She is recipient of Governor’s Distinguish Professor award.
