Horst Kurnitzky

Horst Kurnitzky: born 1938 in Berlin, Germany, studied architecture, philosophy, sociology, German literature (linguistics) and science of religions (anthropology) in Berlin and Frankfurt-on-the-Main (Theodor W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer, Klaus Heinrich, Peter Szondi); Doctor of Science of Religions (1974) with a dissertation on the origin of money in sacrifice cults "Triebstruktur des Geldes" (The Instinct-Structure of Money) at the Free University of Berlin; worked as an architect, taught at universities in Germany (Freie Universität Berlin) and Mexico (UNAM, UAM), and lectured at Universities in Western Europe and the Americas; has been a consultant to universities and governments in Latin America (Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador), and written Books, Essays and Articles on Art, Culture, Politics and Society, Radio Theatres, Features, Radio Essays on philosophical and anthropological themes about the arts, culture, society and economy, as well as organised art exhibitions and directed films.
