Lawrence Newman

Lawrence Newman is the author of three books about his favorite subject--the Apostle Islands, located in southwestern Lake Superior, off the northern coast of the state of Wisconsin in the United States. 21 of the 22 islands have been designated as the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, voted the most pristine national park in the United States. The islands are a boater's paradise and include many opportunities for camping and hiking in a very scenic area. In addition to the books on the Apostle Islands, he has also written books on cooking, movie reviews, quote compilations and self-publishing. He has established Silver Millennim Publications, Inc., the books' publisher (silvermillpub.com).In his prior life he was the Chief Financial Officer for Underwriters Laboratories, the leading safety testing agency in the United States.
