Randy Connolly

Randy Connolly is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, where he has taught since 1997. He also teaches cultural history in his university's General Education department. Randy's teaching specialties include web application development, object-oriented design, technology and society studies, and, believe it or not, art and cultural history.

He has three main research areas: the first is the teaching of web development, the second is the general pedagogy of computing education, while the other is the social effects of computing, esp the effect of ICT on reading and attention.

Randy is an associate editor for ACM Transactions on Computing Education and on the Editorial Advisory Board for ACM Inroads Magazine.

He also has over 14 years of experience developing web sites for international clients, as well as over 16 years of corporate software development experience.
