José Lanters

José Lanters is Professor of English and Co-Director of the Center for Celtic Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a former president of the American Conference for Irish Studies (ACIS) and the current vice chair for North America of the International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures (IASIL). Her research focuses on modern and contemporary Irish drama and fiction. Her books include The Theatre of Thomas Kilroy: No Absolutes (Cork University Press, 2018) and The 'Tinkers' In Irish Literature: Unsettled Subjects and the Construction of Difference (Irish Academic Press, 2008).
