Ludger H. Viefhues-Bailey is Distinguished Professor for Philosophy, Gender, and Culture at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. He is interested in understanding how discourses of religion and sexuality co-deterime each other. To this end his writings integrate philosophical modes of analysis with those pertaining to gender and cultural studies. After receiving his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Harvard University in 2002, Viefhues-Bailey taught at Yale University from 2002-2010, where he was most recently Associate Professor for Methods and Theology in Religious Studies.
