Dr. Matti Laine, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Psychology, Åbo Akademi University. Before his professorship 2001-2023, he worked as an adult clinical neuropsychologist at the Turku University Central Hospital in Turku, Finland, as well as a Research Fellow funded by the Academy of Finland. Since his training at the Aphasia Research Center, Boston Veterans Administration Hospital, in the early 1980s, Dr. Laine has had a long-standing research interest in language, language disorders, brain-language relationships and also memory and its training. His list of publications includes over 200 papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
