Aaron Kupchik

Aaron Kupchik is Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. He studies juvenile justice, including school discipline and security, the transfer of juveniles to criminal court, racial inequality in juvenile justice, and juvenile correctional facilities. His previous book, Judging Juveniles: Prosecuting adolescents in adult and juvenile courts, was awarded the 2007 American Society of Criminology Michael J. Hindelang Book Award. He is also a past recipient of the American Society of Criminology Ruth Shonle Cavan Young Scholar Award.
