Elaine M. Bapis

Elaine Bapis is a lifetime educator of American History, Literature and Film. Emphasis is cultural history. Published books include Camera and Action American Film as Agent of Social Change, 1965 to 1975. Coeditor of Imagining the Big Open Nature Identity and Play in the New west and published essays in Utah Historical Quarterly, The Landscape of Hollywood Westerns, This is the Plate Utah Food Traditions, and editor and author of Legacy of Faith.  

Author and Production manager of self published coffee table book, Valter of Salt Lake City the Magic of the Table. Five time book award winner New York City Big Book Award, National Indie Award, Western Printing Alliance Gold. Papers and lectures presented at Oklahoma University University of Utah, Western History Association, Arizona Greek Folklore Society, Capital Cinema Cultural Exchange in Albany, New York and at various civic groups in Salt Lake City.
