Henry B. Geiter

Henry (Hank) Geiter, Jr, RN, CCRN, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1966 where he attended the prestigious PUBLIC Central High School for Boys (the second oldest public high school in America). He attended Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh as a Math/Computer Science major. He then changed to pre-med before leaving and getting married. After his divorce, he attended St. Petersburg College where he earned an AA degree in Nursing. He challenged and passed the LPN exam and then, one year later, the RN exam.

He has worked in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Education, Critical Care, OR, ER, Endoscopy and long term vent care facilities. He has helped develop content for the Adult-CCRN exam as well as the NCELX-PN exam. He has written more than two dozen articles in major Nursing journals such as RN, Nursing 2009, and Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing. His book, "E-Z ECG: Rhythm Interpretation", was awarded "AJN Book of the Year for 2007" in the category of Critical Care and Emergency Nursing.

Hank has also spoken at AACN's National Teaching Institute for five consectutive years and mentored novice speakers also. He has spoken at other venues and conferences over the years also. He has his own website, www.Nurse411.com, where he offers free continuing education programs for nurses and other healthcare professionals and nursing adjuncts that he has developed to facilitate his teaching methods.

He is currently working on two books: one a sequel to this book which uses simple analogies to explain the even more complex 12-lead, and another for preparing to take the Adult-CCRN exam.
