Ann is a 1983 graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Michigan State University, and got her specialty certification in Emergency/ Critical Care in 2000 and Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2008. She received her specialty certification in Nutrition in 2013.
After graduation Ann began her career in general practice medicine but quickly transitioned to emergency/critical care practice. She has also worked in specialty practice, education and management. She is currently Hospital Administrator for the Animal Cancer and Imaging Center in Canton, Michigan.
Ann is active in her state, national and specialty organizations, serving as a mentor and on a variety of committees and positions.
She has over 40 published articles in various professional magazines as well as book chapters and a Nutrition book for veterinary technicians, that has just had the second edition released.
Ann has spoken at over 100 local, state, national and international conferences over the past 15 years, as well as teaching on-ground and on line courses at VSPN.
Ann’s special love is nutrition and she expends a significant amount of time learning and energy teaching and advancing the knowledge of veterinary nutrition.
To maintain a healthy work/ life balance, she enjoys her off-time in the garden having earned an Advanced Certified Master Gardener Certificate, reading and crocheting. Her furry/feather/finned family includes cats, chickens and pond fish as well as all of her local wildlife!
