Elizabeth M. Magill

Elizabeth Mae Magill (Liz) was a volunteer at Rainbow Place Homeless Shelter for Women in Rockville Maryland when she felt God's call to Seminary. While she took all the usual coursework it was not long after graduating (Episcopal Divinity School '02) that she was outside the church building. She started Worcester Fellowship (with Mary Jane Eaton) in 2007, providing church for people who couldn't or wouldn't go indoors.

Liz's Doctor of Ministry from Brite Divinity School ('17) explored how leadership circles are expanded when we make space for everyone to be volunteers.

And then she found 750words.com, where she wrote 750 (or more!) words every day for 18 months. The writing juices were going! After a great Nanowrimo she had a first draft of a book.

Liz writes and pastors in central Massachusetts. She is active as a workshop facilitator and teacher. She also spends time quilting, knitting, walking, skiing, and traveling with her love, Ken Porter.
