James Ishmael Ford

James Ishmael Ford has walked the​ spiritual path for more than fifty years. He is a Zen teacher authorized in the Soto and Harada Yasutani koan lineages. James currently guides the Empty Moon Zen network of sanghas. His books focus on the nature of awakening, Zen meditation and koan introspection, the many shapes of the Zen way as it is emerging in the west, as well as the people who have brought the Zen way west.
