J. LeBron McBride

J. LeBron McBride, PhD is retired from 18 years as Director of Behavioral Medicine and a faculty member at Floyd Medical Center's Family Medicine Residency Program in Rome, GA and is past senior minister at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in downtown Rome (for 12 years). Dr. McBride received his PhD in marriage and family therapy from Florida State University, his Masters of Divinity with high honors from Andrews University Theological Seminary in Michigan. Additionally, he has a Masters in Public Health form Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He formerly was a clinical member and approved supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and a Certified Family Life Educator with the National Council of Family Relations. He is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia. Dr. McBride is the author of over 100 professional and popular articles and book chapters. He is author of five books four of which are available through Taylor & Francis: Spiritual Crisis: Surviving Trauma to the Soul, Pastoral Care From the Pulpit: Meditations of Hope and Encouragement, Living Faithfully with Disappointment in the Church, and Family Behavioral Issues in Health and Illness; and his latest book is a Second Edition of Coming Back to Faith: From Crisis of Belief toward Healthy Engagement came out in 2012 (Be sure to get the Second Edition of this book if you are ordering). Dr. McBride lives with his wife, Debbie, a Family Nurse Practitioner, on a farm in Rome, Georgia. They have two adult children.
