Dewey Johnson

Dewey Johnson was raised in Roswell, NM, where he had first hand information leading to some of his books. He was ten years old when his neighborhood Little League All Stars (Roswell Lions Hondo) won the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. This gave rise to his book, "Summer of Champions". The unrelieved interest in the Roswell Incident gave rise to a book of short stories, "Down to Earth in Roswell". And being among the first 8th graders in the United States to accelerate and take Algebra I, launched his current novel, "When Sputnik Hit the Wall." His wife Cheri Johnson is a painter and author of a novel about life in northern New Mexico, "Stolen Miracles". Dewey has four children and seven grandchildren. He and Cheri live in Albuquerque.
