Michael Spears (1955- )

In October of 2013 I started iFiddle Magazine. Since then, I've been privileged to interview some of the best fiddlers in the world. Everyone from Mark O'Connor, Natalie MacMaster, Darol Anger, Bruce Molsky and many others. This periodical is unique in that it features tutorial videos done by these legends of the fiddle world.

Update 2017: I've compiled a series of interviews and am starting to publish them. The history of these great fiddlers from their own perspectives will be written.

I started playing fiddle later in my life and soon became fascinated by what can be done with the king of instruments. There's not a lot of range, but the melodies and harmonies that can be coaxed out is amazing. This has led me on a path to constantly try to develop as much skill as I can. The fiddle is a wonderful instrument and these world class players are more than willing to share their stories, and insights and to try to make all of us musicians have a better understanding of the fiddle.

My new series, Very, Very Short Stories(for the busy reader)is several short tales told by me.. It's seven very gripping short stories that will have you wanting more. Don't worry. I plan on three more Very Short Stories books. Look for more on the way!
