Donna Williamson

After a too-long career in government, I started a garden design, installation, and maintenance business in 1988. Since then, I have taught no-nonsense gardening at the State Arboretum of Virginia, Oatlands, Shenandoah University, and other locations for over 20 years. Former founding owner and editor of the regional gardening magazine, GRANDIFLORA, I continue to write, provide garden design consultations, and love to grow tomatoes and magnolias. Was a member of a gardening blog team (Diggin' It) that wrote for the Christian Science Monitor and have a current monthly column for the Blue Ridge Leader. This gardening life has been so much more satisfying than I ever imagined!
