Born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Peter F. Lau earned his doctorate in history from Rutgers University in 2002. He is a historian and educator dedicated to supporting and creating empowered communities in which all members are known, valued, and fully included. He’s been a lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design, a Dean of Students at The Wheeler School, and is currently a principal at The Met Career and Technical high school (Unity building) in Providence, RI. He lives with his family on the city’s East Side.
