Daniel A. Beard

Research in Dr. Beard’s laboratory is focused on systems engineering approaches to understanding the operation of physiological systems in health and disease. He is the director of the Virtual Physiological Rat Project (www.virtualrat.org), an international consortium working to capture integrated physiological function of the rat in simulations that account for genetic variation and responses to environmental challenges.
