Gillian Crow

Gillian Crow was born in London in 1943. She read Latin at university and continues to have a great interest in ancient civilisations. In 1983 she joined the Russian Orthodox Church and has since then written many articles on Orthodoxy for the national and religious press. Her first book, 'Grains of Salt and Rays of Light' was followed by contributions to several anthologies and her biography of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh, 'This Holy Man' was published in 2005. Since then she has published 'Orthodoxy for Today', and her latest book, 'Metropolitan Anthony: Essential Writings' was published in May 2010. Her pamphlet 'Orthodoxy - an Introduction' is available as a Kindle ebook.

Latest news: ‘This Holy Man’ has now been published as an ebook.

She is married, with three children and seven grandchildren, and lists her interests as travel, classical music, African drumming and Flamenco dancing.
