I am a professor of anthropology at the University of Florida where I teach environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology, and Mesoamerican archaeology. I am also curator of the Environmental Archaeology collections of the Florida Museum of Natural History where we hold one of the largest comparative and archaeological collections of animals from the circum-Caribbean (SE USA through northern Peru including the Caribbean islands).
