Lisa McGuinness

Lisa McGuinness, along with Leslie Jonath (under the pen name Elle J. McGuinness) is the co-author of the New York Times Bestseller Bee & Me: a whimsical animated picture book with an underlying message about helping the declining bee population. They also co-authored Baby Turtle’s Tale: an engaging animated picture book about an endangered sea turtle who gets lost.

She is also the author, along with her friend and co-author, chris Boral, of Gotcha Covered! Everything You Need to Know About Your Period: a project created to empower girls and teach them to handle their periods with finesse.

Lisa (along with a slew of talented women from across the country!) have also authored an upcoming book titled Classroom Mom: A Volunteer's Survival Kit, which will be released this fall--just on time for back to school!

She, and co-author Leslie Jonath, are currently submersing themselves in all sorts of wild, wacky, zany and amazing animal facts while they research their upcoming book.

Lisa lives with her husband, daughter and son in Northern California along with two kitties, Roxie and Klinker, (who are named after lively characters in her favorite Bill Peet book, titled Big Bad Bruce.) She also co-habits with the family dog--her silly corgi named Katie.
