Vanessa E. Greenwood

Dr. Vanessa Elaine Greenwood (formerly Domine) is a full professor at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She is best known for her work in media literacy education—and also for the four super-smart and funny teens and young adults she birthed and continues to support as a single parent. Dr. Greenwood also authored "Healthy Teens, Healthy Schools: How Media Literacy Education Can Renew Education in the United States" and "Rethinking Technology in Schools." She holds BA and MA degrees in Communication Studies and a PhD in Media Ecology. She also has several education-related side hustles: Project Literacy Among Youth (media literacy education across all learning contexts), La Vitae Loca (providing professional academic coaching), and the COMM+MEDIA Research Collaboratory (an incubator for interdisciplinary research and teaching).
