George Fischer

George Fischer is one of Canada's most renowned and prolific landscape photographers. During the past 25 years he has produced over 40 photographic books and 50 art posters. His work has appeared on the covers of numerous international magazines and newspapers and in the promotional publications of tourism boards around the world. 'Unforgettable Canada' was, in 2007, on the Globe and Mail's bestseller list and sold over 75,000 copies. In 2012 this book had a third printing and was released in a new expanded edition. It was selected to produce a television series and was also translated into French by a well-known publisher from France. Other titles in the Unforgettable series include: Unforgettable Tuscany & Florence, Unforgettable Paris Inoubliable, Unforgettable Atlantic Canada, The 1000 Islands – Unforgettable, and Les Īles de la Madeleine Inoubliables.

Other accomplishments include 'Jordan - A Land of Contrasts' as bestseller in that country with it's unique approach and stunning photographs, and in Canada 'A Taste of the Magdalen Islands' was a finalist for the 2002 Canada Cuisine Award.

George has just wrapped up a few book projects including Spectacular Northwest Territories Canada, which launched with great success in Fort Simpson and Yellowknife; Queen Street, Toronto's Urban Treasure; and Panama, as well as several poster campaigns for tourist boards. He is looking forward to a book launch for his Queen Street book in Toronto, and traveling to Panama to launch his book there.

Currently, George is the planning stages of two new books, both for the Canadian market.
