Chuck Williams spent his formative years growing up in the Route 66 cities of Amarillo and Oklahoma City. During his years and travels as a youth minister and pastor he criss-crossed America's Highway countless times, always sensing a strange connection to the historic road. That connection led to extended travel with his wife, Ann, and the eventual writing and publishing of "Eternal Route 66." After 40 years in vocational ministry, Chuck "retired."
He and Ann sold their home in Lubbock, TX, and sold or gave away most of their "stuff." They bought an RV and set out to do life wherever the Lord led. About 6 months into that adventure, their one son and his wife caught up with them in Branson, Missouri to share the good news that they were expecting a baby. Well the RV rolled on to a few more scenic places, but sort of wound up in the Dallas area where it stayed, because they felt the need and desire to be close to their new grandson. They've since sold the RV and moved into an apartment adjacent to a beautiful nature preserve so they still get to enjoy creation and living simply, but now with the added bonus of quality and quantity time with family.
They still get to travel Route 66 and love serving as volunteers through their church and mission organizations. They also love encouraging people to enjoy the journey.
