Tadas Klimas

Tadas Klimas is an attorney holding the pedagogical title of associate professor of law.

By presidential decree, Tadas Klimas was made a cavalier of the Knight’s Cross of the Lithuanian Order of Merit (2009).

This high honor joins the National Intelligence Medal of Achievement; one of the highest medals of the United States, bestowed upon him in 1992 by the DCI (Director, Central Intelligence) Robert Gates. Dr. Gates is, at the time of this writing, the U.S. Secretary of Defense.

Klimas, a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has been dean of a law school, chief legal counsel to the Speaker of the Lithuanian parliament, and has taught law in the United States, Lithuania, Spain, Brazil, & Vietnam. He is the author of several books, among them the law school casebook and treatise, Comparative Contract Law (Carolina Academic Press 2006).
