Larry Wood

Larry Wood has been writing professionally for 50 years. He has written

everything from children's fiction to how-to articles, but during most of his

career he has specialized in historical nonfiction, having written twenty-five

nonfiction history books. He is also the author of two historical novels, two

western novels, and over 500 magazine articles and stories. In addition, he has

contributed short stories to several anthologies. Wood especially enjoys

writing about episodes of the Civil War and the Old West that occurred in or near his

home territory of the Ozarks
