Stephen Ingram

Hi Everyone, Here is a short Bio:

I am a native Californian with a long interest in plants and plant ecology. I received a B.S. degree in Biology from Lewis and Clark College, and an M.A. degree in Botany from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Following graduate school, I was employed as part of the Research Department at Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida, managing the herbarium, working on an epiphyte flora of Monteverde, Costa Rica, and spending as much free time as I could photographing tropical display plants at Selby Gardens. After three years in the humid urban jungle, my wife and I moved to the high, dry, and extremely photogenic Eastern Sierra in Mono County, California. I’m an active member of the California Native Plant Society, the Cactus and Succulent Society, and the Cloud Appreciation Society. My photos have been used in numerous books, magazines, calendars, and note cards. You can see more of my work at www.ingramphoto.com.
