Paula N. Singer

Paula N. Singer grew up poor in Maine, attended public schools in Kennebunk, the University of Maine in Orono, and, after Title IX of the Civil Rights Act opened up financial aid for women at professional schools, the University of Maine School of Law. With high barriers of entry for women, she became successful as a computer specialist before computer science courses, as an international tax lawyer before fax, email, and the internet and as co-owner/operator of a tax software company with no outside funding. She recounts her remarkable career path in her memoir, When There Is No Wind, Row.
