Scott T. Young is Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. He is the author of three books of management: Managing Global Operations (with Winter Nie)(Quorum), The Essentials of Operations Management (Sage) and Sustainability Essentials for Business (With Kathy Dhanda) (Sage).
He is also the author of Black Hills Gold, a novel.
Scott received his BA from the University of Georgia, MBA from Georgia College and State University and Ph.D. from Georgia State University. He also attended the University of Southern California School of Cinema.
He lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and two daughters. Beyond career and family, he enjoys running, fantasy baseball and traveling. As of 2018, the only state he had not run at least a mile in, is Alaska.
